Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
Blargh. Those two lines, either at the start (under Rewrite Engine On) or at the very end, break my ability to see images from my own domain.
I swear, logic doesn't live here anymore.

I must have this.
According to Popular Science, it's due out in the fall, and it will be only $350.
What is a good basic desktop that has a good on-site service contract available if you want it? Speed is nice, but not essential - reliable and great service are the priorities.
Dell. Their lower level desktops are start at about $300 these days (no monitor), and they have on-site service. We've been pretty happy with them here.
Really? I'd heard from several source that Dell service sucks - that they are good machines if nothing goes wrong, but if something happens you have to fight for service. That in fact is why I asked: Dell used to be my default for such situations so if they are not giving good service any more, then I need to find someone who is. Or are all those stores isolated incidents? Does Dell still give decent service after all?
