I went to Costco over lunch, and Pentax makes some tiny cameras. Too pricey for a birthday present from a sister, but nice to drool over. They had the CoolPix 5200 there, which I hefted, and like the feel of. So I'm currently predjudiced towards that line.

My PDA came in. It's very, very pretty. Naturally, I immediately broke the connection inside its cradle by dropping it, but it's not a huge deal since the next version of MissingSync for Windows Mobile will be able to sync by WiFi or bluetooth, and power doesn't require the cradle.
I just watched the first 15 minutes of The Inside on it, using BetaPlayer for DivX devices. It plays beautifully, though I may reencode for higher brightness levels in the future.
How big is the screen, D?

We just picked up a Sony DSC-V3, as our Nikon is nearly six years old and our little Canon doesn't suit our needs any longer. Will report back on it once I've used it some.
Actually, I should start looking around at digital cameras, as mine is old, literally falling apart, and is 2.0 megapixels (hey, I *said* it was old!), and I'd like a higher-megapixel one for my brother's wedding.
Hmmm.

My ruler is packed away, but i'm guessing 2x3 inches, with a 640x480 resolution packed into it (four times the resolution of most PDAs, apparently). I understand some of the more expensive VGA res PDAs have slightly larger physical screens, but this one is quite nice.
How much can you watch on that? It seems very wee.
