Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Yeah I was swapping cables like a mad thing. Which never solved the issue. But did remind me exactly how much I need to find a more elegant cabling solution. It's a maze.

Neither, I don't think, did the kicking. But it left a partial foot print on the top of the screen which I really should clean off.

I think it was the subliminal, "You must watch a dvd and then send it back." thing because now the live tv and the recorded shows are working just fine. I have no idea why or how...

If someone sacrificed a goat for my tv, thank you...

All is well that ends in pizza.

Apple Computer plans to announce Monday that it's scrapping its partnership with IBM and switching its computers to Intel's microprocessors

Rolls eyes.

1. I'll believe it if/when it gets announced.

2. It could be disinformation to throw off the scent of Apple renewing a partenership or creating one with Intel to make chips for a specific device, like a Tablet PC.

I'm not tearing my hair out at the mere thought, but if it was going to happen it would have to be with an advanced chip.

Plus Intel's current line of "Wintel" chips run hotter and slower per Mhz than the current and upcoming PowerPC line.

Heck, for the most part Intel is slower and hotter than AMD. (Note, I did say "most".)

Apple Offers "Free Recycling" of iPods. [link]

Beginning today, customers can bring iPods they no longer want to any of Apple’s 100 retail stores in the US for free environmentally friendly disposal, and those who drop off an iPod, iPod mini or iPod photo will receive a 10 percent discount on the purchase of a new iPod that day.

I read the words, but they don't make sense.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

If you don't know what to do with a busted old iPod that would cost more to repair than to replace, I suppose that makes sense. However, if anybody has an unbusted old iPod they want to dump, just let me know!!! :-)

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I'm having iPod mini RAGE.

My iPod mini will not transfer songs. I finally have gotten around to loading it, and the iPod doesn't appear in the iTunes source window, and all it keeps saying is, "Do Not Disconnect"

But it isn't tranferring anything. And since it doesn't appear in the iTunes window, I can't disconnect it anyway.

I'm ready to send the thing to Theodosia. Good luck with the little fucker.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Have you connected it successfully to this computer before? If not, did you load the iPod software to this computer?
