Buffy: So how'd she get away with the bad mojo stuff? Anya: Giles sold it to her. Giles: Well, I didn't know it was her. I mean, how could I? If it's any consolation, I may have overcharged her.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Pity me.

Heh, I still use Lotus 123 commands in Excel. There are some things that are just quicker that way.

Hey. New board.

I still use vim about half the time, especially for coding. If somebody gave me a nicer gui for it so it could look pretty on my Mac and have useful mouse selection for copy+paste, I'd probably use it for everything.

Our wings are not tired

At least no one has been claiming to be still using vi. I do kinda miss pico.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I use pico plenty. Also, nano.

What? Femto gets no love?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I used to use pico a lot before I moved my site, on account of being v. v. lazy.

Post-moving, I've been HTML Kit's bitch, and would kill for a Mac port.

Hey. New board.

ND, did you not see my post? vim is pretty much vi. I mean, there's improvements, but no different than the ones that have been made to emacs since the original vi days.

Nano's totally better than pico.

You know what metric unit thingy I love? The angstrom. Because it completely ignores all the rules of the metric system. It doesn't even end in "meter." Plus, it makes me really wish "angst" was a standard metric prefix. I'd love to have just a few angstliters of water. Or measure my weight in angstograms.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Hey! I'm wondering if one of you tech whizzes can give me a clue as to what's going on with my 'puter. It won't let me open Word anymore. Most of the time it hangs up and I have to reboot to do anything at all. Only one time did I get a message saying I didn't have enough memory to open it. I've still got over 5 Gig of hard drive space left and I've got 128 M of RAM. When I pull up my System Performance it says I've got 54% of my resources free. Is this normal? Any idea what the problem is?

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

54% seems pretty low for just after a re-boot. Do you know what other programs you have running that are using up your resources? You can use Process Explorer to find out. [link]

Downloaded the process explorer, but I don't really know what I'm looking for. Any hints as to what all the gobbledy-gook means? It says that system idle is using about 95% of the CPU? Does that make sense?
