See, if someone stole my iPod I'd be pissed because I'd need to buy a new one (and my renter's insurance deductible is high). But if they stole my iPod AND my computer? Then I'd be really upset.

All is well that ends in pizza.

"Want!" [link]

Our wings are not tired

Monster Cable just bugs me because there is so much "used car salesmanship" to their stuff. Any well built audio cable will work in most installations, and for the completely out of control prices they charge you are typically just getting ripped off. It is then combined with retailers that ONLY stock the way overpriced cables to people are just getting ripped off. I don't like that.

I also have issues with most Bose products. "Better sound through marketing" should be their slogan. They do make a few great products. Good clock radios, some really nice noise cancelling headphones. But most of their gear? Just way overpriced crap that doesn't perform.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I generally agree about Monster Cable. That said, I did buy a few instrument cables from them for performance use because they look really rugged.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Whee! I just noticed Apple now has their Tiger Up To Date program in place.

I'm buying a Powerbook!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

So, apparently, Tiger will come with a Dictionary widget, allowing you to look up words without going online.

The dictionary is The New Oxford American Dictionary, which means that every copy of Tiger will come bundled with erinaceous! How cool is that?

If I only had a brain...

Does that mean it will hem my circle skirts for me?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I think that feature will be available in a point release.

If I only had a brain...

I got a flyer for a pattern-drafting program last week. I was serionsly considering it until I realized that it would be printing out patterns on pieces of 8 1/2 x 11 paper that I would then have to tape together.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Damn, baby. I *need* to convince my office to upgrade all of our Macs to Tiger.

And I need to hop to and pre-order it for my iBook.
