Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Back then, all the porn was in ASCII art. Or if you were really lucky, you could get some monochrome bitmap pictures.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Lets see.... I sent my first internet email in '91. I went to my first web site in '94. I was in Minneapolis, dialed in to a server in San Francisco (in terminal mode) and browsing the web via a text browser. IIRC, I liked the Web better than ftp, Archie or Veronica (the latter two are/were also internet protocols).

The generation that could change the world is still looking for its car keys.

Gotcha all beat, probably. I grew up in Salt Lake, about 4 blocks from the University of Utah computer lab, which was one of the original nodes on ARPAnet. For several years in my youth, starting in about '76 or '77, my Dad got me an account in the lab to keep me busy during summer vacation. So . . . .

You know those round hovercraft they were selling at Christmas? The kind that you could kick around the floor?

What were they called, and who sells them?

I've been told that the Mac Mini combination WiFi/Bluetooth upgrade will be shipping about 6-8 weeks from now. When I bought the Mini in Feb. I was told it would ship in March.

(The WiFi upgrade alone is shipping now.)

Thunderbird's filters run automatically for me, too. In fact, on the setup screen for the filters, it says "Enabled filters are run automatically in the order shown below."
