I have a friend that made a 1.5 TB Raid 5 recently.
ETA: 6 300 GB drives, 5 of which you stripe as space and the 6th of which holds parity information (so you don't lose all the data if you lose one drive)
Guh.

If I add up all the storage space I've got in my apartment right now I'm getting very close to a Terabyte.
I just bought a pair of 250GB drives for backup purposes. That put me well over 1TB.
I've got loose plans to buy a G5 in the fall, and part of the plan to put around half a Terabyte of storage internally on the beast for audio and video editing. My server is already sitting at about half a Terabyte.
Damn, we have a lot of storage. I remember the 120k floppies on my Apple II.
My first computer had 64K of memory. It was considered a lot.
You guys know that if you add much more memory, your equipment may achieve sentience.
I think mine already HAS achieved sentience.
I think mine already HAS achieved sentience.
Is that you, or your computer saying that.
It's nice to know that something's sentient at ND's place.
HEY!
Sorry. Kidding. I have no impulse control.
eta: ND is a brilliant sound designer and all-around good guy. His home has become sentient in order to worship him.
So, no answer in re: the AirPort base station?
