OK, here's a question: is there a way for me to edit my music files? Without paid-for software? Because the hidden track has all the blank space at the beginning. I know I can just FF, but still. Computers should make everything perfect!!
I usually go with the demo version of Goldwave.

You need special software for that. But on iTunes, you can tell it to start and/or end a song at points other than the beginning and end. Just go to 'info' - there's a tab there that will take you to the right screen.
When you rip songs in iTunes, there's an option that lets you pick the start time and the end time of a particular track.
You people are very fancy, and I thank you.

Oh, I had forgotten about that. But for some reason I prefer to leave the song the way it was and just set iTunes to not play part of it. I can't really say that one method is better than the other.
If you only rip the part you want, the file size will be smaller, except if you use VBR I suspect the file sizes would be close to the same for either method.
I didn't know iTunes could do that!
