Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
Yeah, but how do I actually get the pdf on the web to link to it? That's what I'm trying to figure out right now.
If you're using Geocities, you upload using File Manager. So you'll need one HTML page called "index.html", and that page will contain your talking "This is the paper I wrote for yadda yadda" and the link for the PDF.
So you do need something that will allow you to create an HTML page. (Sorry if I'm stating the obvious - I don't know how much HTML you know.)
I know very little html, but hopefully I can find what I need with a nice search from google.
Thank you.
Geocities probably offers some page templates that you can just tweak.
Hmm, I wonder if the computer store at my uni has any 40 GB iPods on sale as closeouts...
Buy.com currently has them for $323.99 (USD).

Hmm. I wonder if I can buy from there, and still have a warrranty.
Fie! I can't even buy from buy.com. Stupid international borders!
Anyone have recommendations for web-sites that will create .gif buttons (to be used for a web site) for you?
Tommy, if you tell me what you want, I could probably make them for you.

Well, there's about a dozen buttons I'll need, and then my boss will probably want changes, and then the client will probaby want changes, so it's probably easier if I do them myself. Thanks anyway, though.
Okay, but if you change your mind, I don't mind doing it.

What would you be giving the web site? Are you looking to convert existing graphics to .gifs, or are you looking for a graphic designer?
