"None of my webpages will load. I keep getting 'The page cannot be displayed' on every sinlge website I try to go to. I get my Yahoo buttons at the top of the browser. And I can IM, but I can't get into any other website at all. I think Yahoo is fucking me up somehow, but I don't know how!"
Any ideas?
ETA: Nevermind. Sail and I are both going to bed (not together, gutter minds) and she's calling a pc dr. in the morning.
MPAA have emptied LokiTorrent now. I guess record takings of $10.82b last year just wasn't enough for these people.
The problem has been fixed. I've got a "Go Back" feature on the computer (that I forgot about.) Reset the drive with settings from yesterday morning and now everything works just fine.

I am in HP support Hell right now. Again.
I have a HP with Windows XP. Previously, I was told to download and run this program Hijack. Which I did, because they told me to (not that I thought it dealt with my problem) and now -- stuff on my computer is changed. Like the programs I had to start up automatically -- not starting up. Norton isn't running right.
Norton Personal Firewall is disabled and I can't get it enabled. When I go to Options -> Norton Personal Firewall I get the message that I don't have adminstrative privileages.
And I think I got disconnected again.
Never mind. HP Help is telling me the only or at least best in their eyes solution is a full system recovery.
Whcih they've recommended and Iv'e done twice. And they were going to set me up a time to talk to a case manager and I accidentally disconnected the phone and since I've been on the phone with them for almost 2 hrs and I'm straving I'll try back tomorrow.
I'm venting. I'm sorry.

Up for auction is a circuit bent Texas Instruments Speak and Read, His name is FREAKENSPEAK, and he lives up to that name. This unit is similar to the Speak and Spell, or the Speak and Math units.

Here is a list of the circuit bent features:
2 bend/glitch switches that bend and twist the words in different ways depending on what mode you are in and how many of the switches you have on. You can get endless bent sounds and words with these 2 switches. When you turn on both bend switches and you are in the right mode,you can get the unit to ramble on endlessly.

I'm thinking about doing an iPod car integration for my GF for her birthday but I have no idea a) what it should reasonably cost b) the best way to do it (she's a tech geek and I wouldn't want to do it too cheaply cause that'd ruin it for her). Does anyone have any suggestions for me?
