Episode summary for The French Mistake:
SAM AND DEAN ARE TRANSPORTED TO AN ALTERNATE REALITY — Raphael (guest star Lanette Ware) launches an attack on Castiel (Misha Collins) and his allies, sending a particularly frightening angelic hitman (guest star Carlos Sanz) after Balthazar (guest star Sebastian Roche), Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles)... In an effort to protect the brothers, Balthazar sends them to an alternate universe where they are the stars of a TV show called “Supernatural” and they are actors named “Jensen Ackles” and “Jared Padalecki.” The brothers are confused when Castiel appears to be a tweet-happy actor named Misha Collins and Sam is married to Ruby (Genevieve Cortese). Charles Beeson directed the episode written by Ben Edlund (##615).
We get Misha!
oh god, it gets better and better
I hear Dean tries to stab Gen. I'm so excited.
But why is Balthazar helping? I'm so confused. This will entirely change the tenor of the porn.
But Misha! Tweet! Oh GOD. Canon RPF. I don't even. This rocks the foundations, yo.
Not only does this fandom appear to be crazy, but those involved with the show itself do too. I don't even know what to say.
I can't really decide if this makes me want to watch SPN more or less.
The show is delightfully crazy.
The fandom is not majority crazy.
The decision to watch the show should be based on the former and not the latter.
I'm morbidly curious if they'll be fairly straightforward about Jared and Jensen's lives, or play them up as exaggerated comedic versions of themselves like Duchovny on It's Gary Shandling's Show.
I have no doubt that jokes for Misha will run along similar lines of there being a specific security code for removing a dead hooker from Ben Affleck's trailer.
My brain keeps playing with the ordering in the summary:
sending a particularly frightening angelic hitman (guest star Carlos Sanz) after ... Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles)... // to an alternate universe where they are the stars of a TV show called “Supernatural” and they are actors named “Jensen Ackles” and “Jared Padalecki.”
Where the laws of parallel construction would suggest that Sam ends up playing "Jensen" and Dean ends up playing "Jared."
And that would add a whole other layer of crazy to the whole thing. But I don't know that they'd go there.
From DeadlineTV, concerning Paget Brewster's exit(?) arc on Criminal Minds, pilot season, and the status of other cast member contracts: [link]
I just read in EW (actual magazine, otherwise I'd provide links, but I'm lazy) that House will be doing a big dream episode with 5 sequences based on TV and movies, that include a western (the magazine had a shot of HL and LE in sepia looking all the world like Butch and Sundance charging out at the end of that movie) and a musical bit. March 7th is the date.
Will one of the movies be Jaws? Having an actual shark on hand would make the jumping so much easier...
