What should I do, then? Send her a gift? Sacrifice? … Unholy fruit basket?

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Since this has already leaked - Alan Tudyk is Alpha on Dollhouse.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Was that him in the naked scene? Guy didn't look ginger.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

It's a different guy playing Alpha at that stage - partly to keep his name off the credits, partly 'cos they didn't have him back then. Knowing Alan also makes it a plot spoiler.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Big spoiler out in the open (as in, gets a big headline in a TV Guide article) that's pissing me off: Booth and Bones are sleeping together in the season finale for reals. No fakeouts, dream sequences or takebacks apparently. Meh.

Alan Tudyk is Alpha on Dollhouse.

Huh. Joss really likes using the Firefly crew as villains now, doesn't he?

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

But, but... Alpha's just misunderstood! He has a soul!

*ahem*

Methinks Joss likes to use actors against type. Make them stretch and prove themselves against the type-casting. At least, that's what I keep telling myself every time I see . . . wrong thread.

Oh, Alan's a fantastic character actor. If Alpha is playing with a plastic dinosaur, he's also likely to stab you in the face with it at some point too. Can't wait.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

But, but... Alpha's just misunderstood! He has a soul!

Bwahahahaha!

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Woops.

Question: I'm dying to know who is playing Alpha on Dollhouse! Rumor has it it's... --Lelia

Ausiello: Let me stop you right there. Trust me, you do not want to know who's been cast in this role. Knowledge of this person's identity will ruin a major Alpha-related twist that Dollhouse boss Joss Whedon has been desperately trying to keep a lid on. Loosely translated into riddle form: What if we were to meet Alpha without knowing we were meeting Alpha? You with me, Lelia?

I do think it's funny Ausiello is telling people spoilers = bad in his spoilers column.

I think I need to listen to the podcast again, because I could swear RDM said Kara's dad wasn't a Cylon. (But did confirm that the piano player was Daddy Thrace.) Which...makes his sudden appearance and disappearance all the more confusing. Was she just hallucinating for no reason?

This isn't quite spoilery, but what the hell I'm already here - DH noticed that Daddy Thrace's album cover was "Daddy Thrace LIVE AT THE OPERA HOUSE." So I'm hoping there's a real connection there and not just an inside joke by the props department.
