re: the movie "Seven Pounds"
what I picked up from the trailer: that Will Smith's character was doing something philanthropic for some people - perhaps to his own detriment.
So I figured he was an organ donor.
I went in search of some info online and it looks like what I surmised was correct. I don't know what Will Smith's motives are, but I think his character caused some kind of accident and he felt he had to atone for it by donating a bunch of his organs.
Thanks again, len.
Is he moonlighting as the Negro Tom Hanks, or something? This
Pursuit of Happyness
maudlin crap...
ita, it is the same director as the Happyness director! So your maudlin filter is spot on.
A friend saw it in a screening and said it was HORRIBLE.
I know I should be touched, but now that the premise is out there along with the title, I keep thinking---gross.
What the hell???
Ausiello says Cameron will be taking Cuddy's job on House.
I read somewhere, Jessica, that it was a temporary thing, until the baby is written out of Cuddy's life.
Ausiello says Cameron will be taking Cuddy's job on House.
A terminator is going to be House's boss? COMEDY GOLD!!!

On "Seven Pounds," apparently the thing that gets revealed at the end is the fact that he was responsible for a car accident that killed seven people (including his wife), which is why he's going to kill himself to donate the organs to the "worthy" people.
