Supernatural: Amy Gumenick - cast as the teenaged Mary Winchester on SPN's time travel episode.
ETA more: Mary's parents were hunters!
Dean travels back in time and gets the Colt (or a Colt) from Elkins.
Found here - apparently, referencing info from a visitor to the set.
So, I've seen the season premieres of Fringe, House (first 2 eps) and SCC. I don't have time to do full-on recaps, but if anyone wants to know anything, go ahead and ask!
They were all good, so there's that.
(Except for the first half of Fringe, which is WAY the fuck too piloty for its own good. Oh, and begins with a plane crash and uses the same 3-d font as Lost, which gives it a really unwelcome sense of deja vu. But it gets good by the end, when it stops being all serious and gets nice and Alias-y. The part of Rambaldi in this universe will be played by something called The Pattern. When the Save Fringe campaign gets started, can we send JJ thesauruses?)
Was Shirley Manson in the SCC premiere, and if so, how was she?
Yes, she's great! She plays a T-1000. (Which tells you just how much the cost of VFX has come down since T2 came out. Even so, my guess is she won't be shapeshifting every episode.)

Cool. I loves me some Shirley Manson as a singer/performer, so I'm seriously looking forward to her in this.
Jessica,
I didn't like "Fringe" much at all. I'm glad to hear you liked it, so maybe they have improved things since the early cut I saw a few weeks back. I thought "Fringe" was AWFUL. Maybe I'll give the show another chance.
le nubian, I've seen the workprint which got out and the final version. They've reshoot a few scenes. One of them works way better - another one is now crap. They've replaced the temp (Lost) music now, though, which helps a lot. Every time Josh appears I mentally said 'Pacey!'.
Yeah, I never saw the first version - my understanding is that the recut is much improved.
the version I saw had temp music from
Sunshine,
which will now just make the final music so so disappointing, no matter how good it ends up being. Like when the leaked pilot for
Firefly
had temp music from
October Sky
(Mark Isham), and no matter how pretty GE's music was, I still had that (Dreams of Boys, I do believe) in my heart as the music for when Mal tricks Simon into thinking Kaylee's dead.
eta to clarify "that"
Winchester family album: Dean visits the past (or is it a Dean spirit - so hard to say and I haven't read the script) - pictures of Dean with young John Winchester + young Mary and with Mary's family at dinner: check out Dean's maternal grandpa. Yes, it's Mitch Pileggi.
Anyway, these are images from 4.3 "In the Beginning" the time-travel episode.
