Woe to the fucking wicked.

You've met Smallville, right, Cindy? I mean...well, I wouldn't put it past them.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

That's gotta be fan fic, right?

I used to say that about SV plot ideas that seemed too goofy to be true. Now I say it in those few moments when SV plots make sense, display a concept of continuity, remain true to the characters, etc. Which is to say, not often.

What is even happening?

Heh. We only know each other well enough to say "Hi" in the halls.

The evil is this way?

Has anyone seen these strange spoilers about an upcoming Lana-in-danger Smallville episode where she gets attacked by a krypto-vampire lesbian sorority girl named Buffy Sanders? Someone please debunk and tell me they are fake.

I might actually watch SV if this was on.

I've wandered around a bit and gosh, it looks like those spoilers are true. It's to be the 5th episode of the new season and its called "Thirst".

Deal. But wait -- when is SV on? If it's against VM and "Lost" then I've run out of ways to watch.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

No way! I am disbelieving this.

Oh, good point. It might be. I never did manage to stay with Lost. I have to catch up with VM, because too many people who love what I love--love it. Maybe I'll just watch the Buffy Sanders episode. It looks like (at least right now) that it's on Wednesdays at 9 (8 Central). [link]

I think Smallville is moving to Thursday at 8pm and it will be up against Alias and The OC.

No way! I am disbelieving this.

I can barely believe it too.

I've been thinking about how the popular genre shows and the fandom are sorta like hip hop. The early episodes are like the coolest songs that get sampled by internet fans and fanfic writers who strip the shows down and get the best breakbeats and cool parts and create something new, but not completely new. It's awesome synergy, or whatever.

But as time goes on the shows themselves run out of cool ideas and the episodes are barely even whole recognizeable episodes, they start turning into nothing but mostly hookless or wacky breakbeats. Some of the fans still try to hang on and valiantly sample the coolest parts they can salvage but then it just becomes like so much P./Puff Diddy/Daddy sampling old hip hop songs and eveything starts caving in.
