Unless he goes into the cave in search of a soul.
Sawyer's staying on the beach. No soul for him.

There will be no soul-having Sawyer. I forbid it. Which, sadly, means nothing in this instance. Still? Forbid.
Sawyer is not the Spike! You take that back.
You said it yourself -- he loots, hoards ciggies, and is pragmatic and rude.
Tres Spike.
I'm a little confused about Sun's plan to escape. The plan was for them to fly together to Sydney, en route to America, and then for her to be "kidnapped" there?
My theory is that Sun and Jin were in Australia on vacation or for business and that Sun planned to escape in Australia. The person helping her said something about blending with the airport crowd. I think the plan was for her to drift away from Jin and meet up with her contact.
I think a lot of Jack's cluelessness has to do with the fact that he doesn't want to be a leader and doesn't feel like a leader. I think the not joining the memorial service was part of that, and I think he's too busy worrying about what's going on to think about signals from Kate.
I'm cracking up, as per usual, at Cleolinda's recap.
and then Kate finds A MOLDERING SKELETON and she's all like AHHHH YOU GOT YOUR DEATH IN MY T&A and the skeleton is like WAHHHH YOU GOT YOUR T&A IN MY FINAL RESTING PLACE and these are not two great tastes that go together and we go to commercial.
I think Jin's first reaction was that Michael was disrespecting him, his wife and his father-in-law, not to mention that he'd been settling things with violence for a while.
Heather is me on this. I think beating up the person who took SunDaddy's watch would have been expected of him in his beforeLife, and he can't get past that.
Hee! I quoted that a little earlier upthread. AND EllenBS emailed that exact quote to me this morning. It's a good one.
Tres Spike.
Heh. Blunt-talking, attitudes-galore, nickname-calling sexy wiseass who fucks up on big tasks, gives broody lead/hero-guy lip, sneers and hits on the heroine-equivalent? Whom people find attractive despite themselves?
Oh yeah.
Sun said something to Michael about the watch being "a trust", as if Jin had been entrusted with it to care for it. It's supposedly a 20k watch, right? That's a lot of change, even for a factory owning mob boss. Not even factoring in what he'd do to Jin if Jin failed him. I mean, it's not logical to think that, if/when they're rescued SunDaddy has Jin shot in the leg for failing in his duty to procure/return/safekeep the watch, but Jin's not really logical. Also, I think the acct. # and password to a Swiss bank account, or one in the Caymans, is inside the watch.
Suddenly the failure of Sawyer to appeal to me becomes all too clear.
Though I did like how he was snarking about Kate having Jack and Sayid compete for her. I'd been assuming all along that it was a three-way race (initially four-way, before Charlie realized his chances and started going out of his way to be nice to Claire instead).
