Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I like Girlfight girl, perhaps just because I can imagine her beating the shit out of Kate.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I can imagine her beating the shit out of Kate.

Or Jack.

She just needs to start with Kate.

It's possible that Michelle Rodriguez doesn't possess the delicacy to portray the harmlessness that Kate should be able to present, but I'd rather see the actress fail in that direction than to fail as utterly as I see Lilly at seeming even slightly competent, not to mention a threatening criminal.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

For the love of Mike, am I the only person on Earth who likes Kate?

I like Kate. A lot, actually.

I might like Kate played by someone else. I find the writing rocky, but rescuable by strong acting.

I like Lilly more than the writing. She's good enough to make me wish Kate were written well enough for me to like her.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I like Kate, too. Evangeline Lilly doesn't always do it for me, but there have been several scenes in which I've really believed her. Surprisingly for someone I don't consider an overall great actor, she's been able to evoke genuine emotion--anger, terror, sorrow--without coming across as maudlin or over-the-top.
