Serial --
I found the best two pictures for comparison were these two:
Locke's boss
Hurley's boss
ETA: Also, IMDb confirms that it was a guy named Billy Ray Gallion playing the character of Randy in both episodes ("Walkabout" and "Everybody Hates Hugo"). You have to scroll down to his Notable Guest Appearances.
If Hurley does own the box company, no small irony that Locke is now telling Hurley what to do.
playing the character of Randy in both episodes
Ah, I wondered about this. (Whether it was a case of a recurring character, or merely a reused actor.)
Yeah, me too. Especially since he looked so different in each episode.
Of course, some old pictures of me look pretty different....
I'm wondering about the hair and the two time frames....
Which came first? the chicken or the box company?
Chicken had to come first. Hurley won money at chicken stand; bought box company with money.
I thought Hurley bought the ticket at the convenience store.
I mean, how do the two jobs Randy had mesh in the timeline?
Randy could have worked at the box company before the chicken stand. Was the encounter with Locke and Randy immediately before the trip to Australia, or much further back?
Hurley name-dropped the Hold Steady when he was asking out the record store girl! (Hilarious to me because they are friends of friends.)
Hurley and Boss work at Chicken Stand.
Hurley buys ticket at convenience store and wins big.
Hurley buys Box Company where Chicken!Boss goes to work.
Hurley has wacko dream with Chicken!Boss and Clucking!Jin.
That's my reading anyway.
except chickensuit guy isn't the boss.
