Or, after the chicken stand got hit by a meteorite (isn't that what happened?), he got a job at the box company.
How could I forget about the meteorite?!
That's probably when he went to Hurley for a job. Then again, since Hurley seemed surprised by the fact that he owned a box company when he was talking with his investment guy, maybe it's yet another coincidence.
I can't believe I didn't recognize Holland Manners. I'ma blame it on my lousy reception.
The flashback felt pretty re-tready to me, but in a fun way--how much did I love Hurley asking the music chick out? So I guess I'm shallow in that this taught me nothing more than Michael's flashback did, but at least Hurley's didn't induce as much cringing.
I'm surprised at Sayid crawling around exploring under the hatch, considering he was the smart person who told them not to open it in the first place.

Especially considering his "You know what this reminds me of? Chernobyl!" comment.
Yeah, that's a sentence I would only ever word as "You know what that reminded me of," and only after getting out.

On the other hand, Sayid does strike me as the type who, once opening the hatch had not immediately irradiated them, would suddenly be very curious about what was in there.
I guess Sayid figures they're either all dead anyway, or else they're better off knowing What Exactly The Button Does. He comes down to the Man of Science side of the island equation.
I only caught the last two minutes (I had to watch VM) but seeing Holland Manners share a scene with Gavin was highly entertaining.
So, in light of Sam Anderson's appearence, is it too much to hope that they might get Harry Groener on the show at some point (I'll even take him in a flashback)?
I'd rather have Lilah (just for the W&H hilarity).
Lilah would be great.
She'll just take the Hellavator down to the Lost-Island Level and snark.
