Can't drink, smoke, diddle my willy. Doesn't leave much to do other than watch you blokes stumble around playing Agatha Christie.

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

I have been watching the posting count on this thread, waiting for the Firefly- like asymptote behind the DVD release. It never came. The disc is doing huge numbers. Why are the newbies not showing up?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Why would newbies show up for Lost discussion on a Buffy-centric board?

Art Crawl!!!

Maybe that stuff doesn't work with mainstream hits.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I bought the set on Monday, and watched the Extras disc almost all the way through (I still haven't seen the deleted scenes yet, except for the two flashbacks from the final ep). I watched "Walkabout" first among the eps, just because it's my favorite and it's on the first disc, and then I saw the pilot. I'm still trying to get through the commentary on the pilot (I really shouldn't start watching it at 12:30 at night, since commentaries always put me to sleep if I'm the slightest bit tired). I am enjoying the "extended commentary" approach, where the commentators say, "Just watch this!" and the ep itself pauses for a behind-the-scenes look at what scene is on the screen at that moment. Finding Nemo did this as well, and I like it as an innovation on the commentary.

Ooh, that sounds really cool! Dammit, I need to find some money or convince myself I can afford them.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

We've gotten big influxes for Firefly, Wonderfalls, and The Inside because one of the creators posts here fairly regularly. Unless J.J. Abrams or Damon Lindelhof delurks in the near future, I wouldn't expect anything similar for Lost.

I am right now watching the extras DVD - may I just say, Damon Lindelof seems like an absolute cutie head. Postitively adorable.

I haven't Netflixed the actual eps yet. That commentary stuff sounds cool.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Disc 7 is next in my Netflix queue. (After two different foreign art-house films! What was I thinking?)

From Watch with Kristin:

And in an effort to keep the playing field fair, I've invited both beloved bosses, Lost's Damon Lindelof and Veronica Mars' Rob Thomas to plead their cases with you, their loyal minions, in our next two chats here at WWK Central.

The best part? Turns out these guys are both ape-dung over each other's shows! Though Rob, who's on underdog net UPN, did admit, "I wish Lost were somewhere else! I have friends who are writers on Lost, and I said, 'Can you just suck a little bit this year? Just send two million viewers our way. You'll still be a number-one show, and we'll be UPN's number-one show, and everyone can be happy!' "

Damon had a good laugh at that plea: "We will suck a little bit, don't you worry! And all I will say is that I literally had to cancel Adelphia [digital cable] and get DirecTV TiVo, so that I can TiVo both Veronica Mars and Lost, because I f--king love that show. It is awesome. It's probably my favorite show right now, and I didn't discover it until fairly late in the season, when my life started normalizing again, but now I'm hooked. I still have about six or seven episodes to go, so don't spoil anything for me!"

x-post with VM, of course.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Aaaaah! That's so damn cute.
