What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

A friend just sent me this promo for what looks to be another country's showing of the first season--definitely something that should appear on the DVD!!

Cool, Portishead! I forget what music they used for the first one of those I saw. They're kind of...weird. Why does Kate look dead?

A quite different version of the same ad

Oh, this is the first one I saw!

Walt's in that one!

He's in the Portishead one too, conducting with Locke.

Kate has mascara tear-tracks down her cheeks, and Claire has clown-like eye makeup on. Sun doesn't seem to have excess makeup on, but I love her dress! I love seeing DDK and YK dance. Having Charlie just dancing alone makes me wonder what they're thinking about doing for his character in the future, and seeing both Locke and Michael "conducting" the dancers also makes me think.

But, then again, maybe I'm reading a bit too much into this?

You have to remember, Kathy, that it's a promo for S1. Presumably for people who haven't even seen S1 before.

Ah. True. I still like the idea of Locke conducting the others, considering how he's been playing the other characters all season.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't know if those ads would have attracted me to the show any. My existing affection for some of the characters makes it fun, but when I try and distance myself from that, it's annoying.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Grr. I can't get the first one to load, but the second one? They should make one just of Sun and Jin dancing. God, that was gorgeous.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Huh. I got video, but no audio on either clip. Still, creepy and pretty.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I'm twisted enough that I really wanted Boone to be dancing with Shannon.

They give away all the couplings (actual or hinted), don't they, except for Babymama/Druggie, right?

Also, in the voiceover ad -- there's a reference to one of them being a cop? Am I forgetting something? Who dat?

t edit Unless they were trying to be sneaky and are referring to the sky marshall (if he was in fact a marshall). But that would be cheap, since everyone else referred to was in the ad.
