Fred: So you don't worry that it's possible for someone to send out a biological or electronic trigger that effectively overrides your own sense of ideals and values and replaces them with an alternative coercive agenda that reduces you to a mindless meat puppet? Shopkeeper: Wow. People used to think that I was paranoid.

I was fine when existence had no meaning. Meaninglessness in a universe that has no meaning -- that I get. But meaninglessness in a universe with meaning? What does that mean?

Dude, they've totally never had previouslies before. They go straight to the eye shot.

Pilot, part 2 had previouslies. You could argue that it was just half of one episode and therefore doesn't count, but it still had previouslies.

Vincent was in one shot this episode, playing fetch on the beach with Walt.

I'm with the people who think Claire would choose the cave and Boone and Shannon the beach (Shannon needs to tan, after all!).

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Plus, fish? Totally slimming, whereas pork goes right to the thighs.

I thought she had an intersting look when Jack said, "we could live here." And then she chose the beach? Mmm....

I'm still crossing my fingers that this was just a sign of accurate gaydar kicking in, and her realization that her odds are better on the beach with Sayid.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

Charlie's expression when he saw the guitar got me a tad misty.

I raise my hand at that one. I think it was his expression of pure, overwhelming joy (with tears in his eyes) that almost made ME want to cry (in happiness).

They've never had "official" previouslies before this episode. In the teasers they would show a bit of the episode prior, but never a full recap where they cover more than one episode.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm guessing that Shannon's big growing-slightly-less-shallow moment will happen when she realizes they're not being rescued, and moves into the caves.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I think I like the way you think.

This show has made me realize what a good actor Dominic Moneghan is. Better than Matthew Fox by far. But Dom isn't leading man material, I guess.

Ah, they faked me out, then. So, I wasn't wrong in feeling like I'd seen previouslies, even if that's not what they were.

I think he is. I could watch him for hours (It has to be the accent - I'm a sucker for the accent.)

Ah, I forgot to put that bit in sarcasm font, beathen.

It's a lot harder to catch the nuances of speech with a keyboard, if you know what I mean. We could resort to [gasps, in a mock serious tone] try putting all our emotions on paper [gasps again!] but that's a pain in the ass [seriously] if you ask me.

Guy #1: Man, there are so many hipsters around. I hate hipsters! Guy #2: You're at the wrong place. That's like going to Vegas only to say "I hate titties!" --The Warsaw, Williamsburg (OINY)

OMGWTF great episode! So much better than last week's. But then aside from the creepy bits, I thought last week and Kate's episode were the least interesting so far.

Sun - so pretty and sad. Jin - pretty and scary. Michael - much more believable. Jackate - ridiculous yet perfect. Sayid - YUMMMMM. Sawyer - YUMMMMM...EW...YUMMMMM. Charlie & Locke - funny AND creepycrazy. Many questions answered & so many more raised. I ♥ this show.
