IOW, I think maybe Locke was caught in some sort of chain.
I think you're right. It definitely sounded mechanical.

[NAFDA] This is where we talk about the show! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

To explain the noise anyway. I still can't figure out what the Invisiosauras is.
My Beau thought the finale was a waste of time. He was pissed that we didn't get to see into the hatch.
For some reason that didn't bother me because I didn't think we'd get too much information about what was in the hatch. I mainly wanted Charlie to find the heroin and Hurley to see the numbers. Since that happened, I'm okay with the result.
What say you all?
But we did see into the hatch, didn't we? It was a ladder that led far down. Granted, my tv's dark. Did I see wrong?
Whew! I'm actually sorry I have a tivo. No chance to take a break between all the OMG moments. Favorite tiny moment- Sawyer singing Marley.
From upthread- I thought Walt was laughing at Hurley. If you meant what was the look between Locke and Jack, I think it was a polite plane thing and maybe something like two alphas showing some respect.
Oh, I'm quite happy with it all. We've got just as many new questions to ponder as we do answers to old questions. It's all good.
Mel,
yeah but I guess he wanted to see down to the bottom or something.
Jack is so irritating. I would slap him.
Yeah, Mr- You've-Got-My-Back-Right- Even-Though-I-Totally-JUST-Undermined -You?
When Jack was glaring at Locke during the tense wiring up the dynamite scene, I yelled (as is my wont) "Shut UP, Jack!" Tom's all, "dude, he's not even *saying* anything."
Walt abduction= upsetting. I have dread in my stomach. So, uh, what was the Others' plan? Was it, smokey smokey smoke smoke to alert various Others camps on the island that they were planning to snatch Walt that night? Did they mean to use it to drive Michael & Co. out on the high seas? (that seems unlikely, given that they'd be harder to find on the open seas, though it does mean they'd isolate and abandon a small group - but they'd have needed to know the plan.) So the baby is a giant McGuffin? Did they think they wanted it but actually no, you can go now pregnant lady kthxbye! Our bad. We want the other kid.
Hurley really beat all the obstacles thrown in his way by Fate. Listen to Fate, dude! She's trying to help a brother out!
Also, how on earth was Locke supposed to go to the bathroom on a 24 hour flight? Did he have a StadiumPal? OK, that's a dumb thing to notice, but that kind of thing bugs me. You can't take away someone's ability to pee, dammit!

Yeah, "Redemption Song." Ya think Sawyer's dead? He can't even sacrifice himself properly. You're supposed to save the innocent THEN die!

I agree about the Locke/Jack look, but I thought Hurley and Walt had some sort of significant look too.

This was my exact thought - right down to the Sedaris part of it.
