Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

Lost: OMGWTF POLAR BEAR

[NAFDA] This is where we talk about the show! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

"A-R-Z-T. Arzt."

Babelfish says that is German for "Physician."

If the writers were trying for the pun or the irony, I think they missed.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Finale: Pirates vs. Polar Bears. I can't be the only one who's wondering how *that* would play out.

Clearly, the winner would go on to face the winner of the Astronauts vs. Cavemen bout.

Now this is a reality series I want to see.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I'm starting to feel afraid that anything they come up with for next week will be over the top and overkill

Yeah, the preview bits about "We were brought here for a reason" and "The island chose us" are not exactly giving me hope of a coherent finale. I'm half expecting them to open the hatch and find a big, red, spinning ball in there.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I would just die.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Last night was very sweet, Walt especially. He rocked the house. The Kate stuff ... well, it just felt like thwy were skimming through backstories for cleanup, and hers the most McExpositiony.

God, I love Walt.

Well, and Sayid. And now Sawyer is a good enough guy.

Of laughter, disappointment, or terminal eye-rolling?

I like the vision of JJ Abrams fans' eyes changing to red dimpled balls and spinning 4eva.

Of laughter, disappointment, or terminal eye-rolling?

Are all three possible at the same time?
