I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Danielle seems strange enough not to mention that when referring to the mysterious Black Rock.

"I've told you everything I know"

Oh, except for that dude losing his arm. And the security system. and Black Rock is really a boat.

I teared up at the Sun/Jin thing. They both rock like a couple of rocking.. things. I though Jack was at his best when reacting to Sawyer's story. Tom immediately said, "you know what this means- one of them's gonna die." Though, he said the same thing for the Sun/Jin scene, the Walt/Shannon scene, and the BBoc/Artz scene.

OK, I made that last scene up.

I thought it was funny that Artz didn't die.

I was relieved that Agent Expositor McExpositionpants ensured we (hopefully) won't get another Kate/toy plane flashback episode.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

The only thing that I wondered about, was why Hurley didn't say anything about the numbers on the hatch.

Did he see the numbers? I was making salad and didn't catch all the details of that scene.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

then in the next scene we saw a pillar of smoke -- it creeped me the fuck out

The quick flash to it before closing credits startled the bejeebus out of me, too.

Cereal to say:

I don't think Hurley saw the numbers- I didn't think anyone had yet. Danielle would have a reaction to them, too.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Oh, wow, I loved all those moments with everyone working together and being happy and accomplished. I feel like such a sap.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I don't think Hurley got close enough to see the numbers.

I kind of wish this had been the finale. It ended on such a good note.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

It did, Jessica. I'm starting to feel afraid that anything they come up with for next week will be over the top and overkill. And can I get any more oxymoronish than trying to describe this show realistically?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Anyone notice who wrote this episode? It was very good, all the backstories were short and to the point. Very effective.

Damon Lindelof and Carleton Cuse.

It was a good episode, and Jack so wanted Sawyer to take him right there, hard.
