I'm all up in the law now, but damn it feels good to get my violence on.

Thrive to spite them

Buffy didn't get a C&D but various sites started getting them.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

If you remember Rayne's shooting script site, she got a C&D to shut it down.

It's a double edged sword. FOX has to exercise its rights over its properties in order to retain those rights. Obviously, from the amount of BtVS sites on the net posting screencaps and such, they don't go on rampages. They know that it's free publicity, though they have no control over the quality of the publicity.

I think they usually go after sites that just post hundreds of screencaps and little else, or spoiler sites.

There is considerable overlap between the intelligence of the smartest bears and the dumbest tourists.

FOX has to exercise its rights over its properties in order to retain those rights.

Not true for copyright, only true for trademark. Fox can let a million script sites flourish and still retain full rights to the work under Berne.

I do have some sympathy for them going after script sites, because those represent something they might genuinely want to sell in the future. Some of the attacks on sites for using lowres images just appear to be pissiness, though.

Allyson, you're chronically selling yourself short.......

ITA with ita.

(I have more thoughts, but they will have to wait, as the mind is still processing, and I have to go out).

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Question: I have to go away for two weeks, so I"m setting the VCR. Is the finale a two hour episode?

The episode on May 25 is two hours, yes.

Hmmm. I can't remember what my thoughts were now.

I imagine they were full of Fan Party vs Convention talk, Allyson love, appearance fee fear, etc.

Anyways. Not many episodes left.

I hope the inevitable Abrams cliffhanger doesnt fry my brain too much.

Crap. I'm happy I'll be able to watch Alias still (which is moving to Thursdays), but that sucks about Lost.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Well, that's unfortunate.
