Could just be a hoax, though. I fake some headaches, everyone gets used to poor helpless Spike. Then one day, no warning, I snap a spine, bend a head back, drain 'em dry. Brilliant.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Episode time 40:19, plus 0:39 of previews and closing credits.

That's about right, maybe a bit short. We get timecoded worktapes at work and hour-long shows are 43-44 minutes, including opening and closing credits and promos--never longer. Half hour show are 21-23 minutes.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I would think that Charlie will find the heroin. Otherwise, it just seems an odd coincidence. Or it will be used to keep him in line.

The actor that played Walt had a good episode. I genuinely got chills when he told Locke not to open the hatch. Also, a great scene between he and Michael when he told his dad that he'd burnt the raft. I LOVE Harold Perrineau.

That may have been my favorite part of the ep.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

I loved when Claire was trying to cut Charlie's hair. It was too cute!

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I LOVE Harold Perrineau.

The man does not get enough work. I missed having him turn up every week on OZ (hell, even AFTER they killed him off).

Hopefully on this show, he WON'T be the one to get eaten by the marauding beastie.

Watercooler over at tvguide.com pointed out that the date of the tape that Kate and Tom listened to in the car? August 15, 1989--8/15. Love the little use of numbers in this show.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I agree that Kate just keeps getting more and more watered down. "The man she killed" was by accident, in a car? Sooooo lame.

At this point, I see no continuity at all between the woman the Marshall was freaking out about being LOOSE BECAUSE OMGSHE'SFUCKINGDANGEROUS, and Kate.

That's only if it's the guy in the car she was referring to as having killed. We still don't know why she left town in the first place, and certainly already seemed to be wanted for something.

Plus, her mother's reaction seems in line with how the Marshall was acting.

However, I'll admit given past performance with the characters that it doesn't look promising.

"It belonged to the man I loved / it belonged to the man I killed" seems pretty straightforward to me. Unless she was in love with and killed two men, each of whom had a toy airplane.

Oh right - I completely forgot about that line. Oh well, there's always hope (slim though it may be) that she's only copping to killing one person (which would be in character for her - only give the information you need to for the current situation).
