You know, I've saved lives. Dozens. Maybe hundreds. I reattached a girl's leg. Her whole leg. She named her hamster after me. I got a hamster. He drops a box of money, he gets a town.

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

Of course, now that I do a search myself, I'm wondering where the person my mate quoted, got his figures from.

This [link] puts it in the Central African Republic--which is two countries to the east of Nigeria. Meanwhile, this [link] puts it to the north east of Australia, which makes more sense. edit: Although the co-ordinates need to be nudged a bit to get here.

The discrepancies can also be fudged when you factor in the possibility they are stuck in a "Bermuda Triangle" region, of which there are more than one on the Earth. [link] It also explains why Locke's compass is going nutso.

Disclaimer: I won't take credit for any of these links. I'm just copying & pasting the work of others that I found elsewhere on the web, so cheers to the fellahs on the dvdtalk forum.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Interesting. I did some different maps with different sets

Here's one that uses the lottery numbers and the total number of survivors. I think this is a bit closer to where I figured they would be.

Because books.

So would that pairing be "Surly"?

Heh.

I think this is a bit closer to where I figured they would be.

That's interesting. I love all the different interpretations of what the numbers mean.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I like quester's point about these folks being believably imperfect.

I'm Gus approved!

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I just saw a promo for Lost, in which they very clearly aired a cleaned-up version of the radio messsage "No, we're the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815."

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hee. So, like, the pilot and the poor fuselage pyre passengers were the only people to die in this wreck?

Also, does this mean le nub will have to update the tag by leaps and bounds? Heh. I was thinking about that tag during this week's ep; that we had two major events but they coincided, so the number didn't change.

Because books.

Anyone know when the two-hour season finale is? TV Guide is listing a rerun for this coming Wednesday, but I've seen two commericals for the finale that simply say "Wednesday at eight". Not "two weeks from now" or anything like that, just "Wednesday".

It wouldn't be a big deal but I have plans Wednesday, and I'd really like to see the finale as it airs (because I am just that shallow and impatient).

I look more rad than Lutheranism

It's the 2nd or 3rd week in May, IIRC.
