I'm a bit displeased that the network thinks these are the six most important characters.
I agree with you, but I think the network is trying to catch up the non-watching potential audience and those are the six characters that have gotten the most backstory or whose stories best interweave. And in that case I think they picked the right ones.
Dropping by to note that I captured the promo for next week's new episode, but I haven't had time to break it down yet. I'll see what I can do tonight.
The promo looked VERY interesting.
As though Locke had angered the Island Gods of Walkyness or something.
Whoops, I forgot that new episode next week means promo on this week's re-run. Jeff Mejia is my hero!
Jeff! You're back! Did I know that?
Have you been posting promos all along?
Not stupid, in New Zealand.
Search the thread for "promo breakdown."
Have you been posting promos all along?
He has.
I think only for the last few eps, actually.
Sorry for the delay, I didn't know basketball would take so long.
Yes, I've only been posting promos for the last few episodes - it took me a while to get caught up with the series.
Having said that, here is the promo for next week's new
Lost
episode:
Narrator:
Next Wednesday...
We open on a close up of Locke standing in the jungle. He looks up into the sky as we hear the sound of an airplane.
Cut to a shot of the sky as we see a plane arcing across it, trailing smoke.
Cut back to Locke as he turns to someone, points in the sky, and says:
Locke:
"Did you see that?"
Narrator:
...An all-new
Lost
unlike any other.
A title card flashes ALL NEW, then we see a scene in the cave. Jack and Sawyer are in the middle of the cave, facing each other, while Kate looks on from the edge. Jack is evaluating Sawyernby holding a pen up and moving it back and forth in front of his face, checking Sawyer's eyes as they track the pen.
Cut to a close up of Jack as he is doing his evaluation.
Jack:
"When did the headaches start?"
Cut to a close up of Kate as she, facing sideways, glances out of her right eye towards the center of the cave.
Sawyer (OS):
"A few days ago."
Cut to a shot at the beach, as we see Sawyer sitting down and leaning back onto a tree as he puts a wet cloth on his forehead.
Kate:
"There might be something really wrong with him."
Cut to a close up of Jack on the beach, with the water behind him, looking concerned.
Narrator:
An episode so powerful...
Fade to black, then fade in on Locke and Boone tramping through the jungle. Locke stumbles to the ground.
Switch to a shot of Boone as he reaches down to pick up Locke.
Boone:
"What is wrong with you?"
Move to a close up of Locke as Boone grabs him by the arm and lifts Locke up. Locke falls back down on his back.
Locke:
"This island changed me..."
Reverse to Boone as he looks incredulous.
Boone:
"What?"
Reverse back to Locke, as he looks like he is about to cry, shaking his head.
Locke (almost in tears):
"..and now it's trying to tack it back and I don't know why!"
Narrator:
...so profound...
Fade to black, then fade in on Boone's hand as he flips switches on some console for a radio or some other electronics.
Cut to a close up of Boone, as he speaks into a radio microphone. Electronics buzzing can be heard.
Boone:
"Mayday! Mayday! Anybody out there?"
Narrator:
...it will leave you begging for more.
Cut to a shot of Locke, laying on the jungle floor, as he looks up into the sky, and edges his way backwards.
Cut bakc to Boone, shouting into the microphone.
Boone:
"Please copy!"
Unknown voice (over radio, perhaps):
"Hello?" (followed by electronic whines.
Fade to black, then cue the Lost logo.
Cut to a shot of Boone doing a double take as the last voice is heard.
Narrator:
An all-new
