I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, hell. I'm flying tomorrow and I have nothing to read but some old Business Weeks and a huge hardback that I don't want to carry.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Well, yeah, I also ususally have the Economist, plus Harpers or Atlantic Monthly or New Yorker, plus maybe Bust or something in that vein.

And if we crashed on a desert island you'd all thank me for it.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

I'll usually take a book, pick up a newspaper *and* a magazine, *and* a Games magazine to do puzzles when I'm bored.

And the flight I most often take is an hour-long shuttle flight to San Francisco, so it's not like I have a lot of time. I just like to cover all the bases, as my ADD usually goes full bore when I'm on a plane.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Depends on how long the flight is, but I'll usually have two or three books and a Games magazine.

You can still get Games ? I thought it went away.

It did, but it came back. It's been several years now.

Oh no. It's still very much around. Though I mostly only see it in airport newsstands now. You can probably get it in you local chain bookstore or something.

When I fly out of Burbank, their so small that their one newsstand doesn't carry it, but I can always pick up the current issue in SFO, flying back out of San Francisco.

Sweet. I'll have to look for it.

Um. In case I crash on an island full of pissed off giraffes.

Any decent magazine stand will have it. As Sean notes, all the chain bookstores carry it. So does Wal-Mart.

Thrive to spite them

I don't fly that often, but I take at least 2 books, a magazine, and a blank book for my travelling journal. And several pens.
