If you take sexual advantage of her, you're going to burn in a very special level of hell. A level they reserve for child molesters and people who talk at the theater.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think Charlie thinks of Vincent as a leader.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

i I don't think of jack as a leader, but I think Charlie thinks of him as a leader.

I think Charlie thinks of Vincent as a leader.

Nah -- remember a few episodes ago (I can't remember specifically which one), when Charlie said *to Jack* that, of all the people on the island, Locke is the only one he'd trust with his life.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

With "Walkabout", "Special" and "Numbers" under his belt, I think Fury can probably claim the mantle of best staff writer on the show.

Definitely. Those are three of my favorite episodes. I didn't love "Solitary" tons, but it was all right. My other favorite episodes are "Confidence Man" (Damon Lindelof) and "Raised by Another" (Lynne E. Litt). "Outlaws" (Drew Goddard) gets an honorable mention.

Our wings are not tired.

A friend who worked at a halfway house for Psych patients said they used to eat incredible amounts of sugary foods--like entire boxes of Captain Crunch amd Pepsi for breakfast and bags of circus peanuts and stuff like that.

My brother worked at the state hospital with addicts for many years and said that they were also very big with the sugar in recovery. Not that I think Hurley is a recovering addict. Really it was just the Mom's tone in mentioning he was gaining weight "again" that struck me.

I think Charlie thinks of Vincent as a leader.

snerk and true.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I think the buried-tin thing is Zeus's cellphone, and somewhere Zeus is on Hera's cellphone, calling and calling himself, trying to listen for the ring.

Alternately, it could be the most lost luggage in the galaxy, but who etches the briefcase lock combination onto the briefcase?

I have practically nothing to say about this episode, except that I enjoyed it.

There is considerable overlap between the intelligence of the smartest bears and the dumbest tourists.

I watched-and-posted on cleolinda's LJ. They ask better questions over there, like "Why are there so few animals on the island?"

I don't think this is really odd. We are used to animals that know we aren't predators; squirrels running around heedlessly, pigeons barely moving out of our way. You stomp through the woods in a more wild area, and you aren't going to see a lot of animals hanging around where you can see them. You'd probably hear quite a few birds, yes, but I don't think we really need to have them stuffing the soundtrack with bird calls.

I thought that animals unused to man as primary predator would be more likely to hang around a bit.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Animals have to get to the island, somehow, though. The boars must have been brought by prior residents or visitors. Which implies (to me) that there are probably rats about. I don't see a problem with there not being much else in the way of wildlife.

This episode seriously sealed my Hurley love. I love you he calls everybody "Dude," or "Man." I loved his collapse on to Rousseau, and how she stopped threatening him with the rifle when she realized he was seriously obsessed.

And I really loved Hurley letting the hospital maintenance guy have it "Do NOT do that right now, man. Just leave the bulb for another time."

Although I suppose the tan is faux, anyway.

Yes. It's fake. Between costumers and makeup artists, there's one thing I've learned about movies and TV -- none of it's real. Hair, makeup, clothes? All carefully crated (or sometimes not so carefully) to create a specific image for you.

I'm having trouble divorcing my reaction to this episode from my, uh, life, because I have relatives who bounce in and out of the psych ward for depression, eating disorders, suicide attempts, and schizophrenia.

It wasn't painful to watch, really, just that I'm OMG SO BIASED in favor of Hurley being a patient.
