The numbers were on the side of whatever the hatch leads to, I think.
Edit: Doh! X-post!
I want more Hurley backstory. Why did he say he was "considered somthing of a warrior back home" earlier?
'A Hole in the World'
[NAFDA] This is where we talk about the show! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

That thing they are unearthing looks kinda like the train car Mulder got locked in that was torched by the CSM.
OK. Just needed a little verification. I'm loving this show, half sci-fi, half horror and a skosh of soap opera.
Did anyone catch the voices in the backgroud when they did the close up on the hatch? I thought I heard a man speaking and a woman scream.
I just heard soundtrack music.

Nothing in the episode screamed warrior to me either.
I hope that is explained at some point.
With that Hummer he was driving, all I could think of was "Road Warrior."
It sort of looked like the top of a submarine or something.
I loved the episode. Finally, some answers! OK, not answers but... more puzzles to obsess over!
I really like the idea of that string of numbers floating around in the world somehow manipulating probability so that multiple people converge and end up on that island.
So how many people do you think will play those numbers this week?
