Lost: OMGWTF POLAR BEAR

[NAFDA] This is where we talk about the show! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

How come nobody mentioned Jack's mom is Joyce Davenport?

I vote the island has some id-amplifying mojo. The island is manifesting thing. However, I do think Jack's vision of dad was more hallucination, abetted by island mojo.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Maybe Shannon and Boone's sibling rivalry is amplifying each other's worst qualities, then? (Bitchery and Buffoonery, that is.)

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

amplifying each other's worst qualities,

Like two mirrors, reflecting the same image over and over again, getting more distorted each time.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Hey. New board.

I'm sensing Shannon hatred. I don't get it. Sure, she's annoying, but she serves the important purpose of "Being that stupid annoying girl that everybody bitches about." Personally, I wouldn't like a show without such a character, at least not a show that thrives on having as many different types of characters as possible.

Also gotta say I find it highly unlikely that ANY of the main characters (list includes Jack, Locke, Boone, Claire, Sayid, Jen, Sun, Kate, Shannon, Shannon's Brother whose Name I've Forgotten, Hurley, Sawyer, and whoever I'm forgetting that's a main character) will die any time soon. At least not until sweeps. And probably not until the end of the first season, or at least after somebody has formed a romantic partnership. Then they can kill a lover, which is always more fun than merely killing a main character.

What is even happening?

I am now certain that Shannon will not ever die, just to make us all unhappy.

Were this 24, she'd be Kim.

The evil is this way?

So, Shannon's going to be cornered by a mountain lion?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Where's the fucking polar bear now, huh?

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

You'd think Sawyer could have shot it after it ate Shannon.

I never liked the obligatory bitchy girl. There's enough crap in life (airplane crash, scurvy, beri beri, polar bears!) to deal with without having the bitch to placate. It would be nice, though, if someone just told her to shut the fuck up, act like the adult she's supposed to be and deal. That never happens.

Coding and Sleeping

I just watched the Lost pilot (both hours), and I realized that it's exactly the same thing as the movie "Pitch Black" only with better lighting and polar bears instead of freaky alien predators.
