Thrive to spite them

My thoughts on the paper/pen issue are more in years down the road, because I'm in the mind set that they are there for the very long haul.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Ah. Well, by that point they should be able to order some on the coconut phone.

Thrive to spite them

I've been trying to read Lost fic and I keep coming up with really bad stuff. Although if I could keep myself away from fanfiction.net I'd have a better chance at finding the good stuff.

FF.net has the 5 years after the accident, when the survivors are rescued 10 years later, how will they adapt kind of stuff. A common theme is that the survivors kids won't know anything about radios, tvs, cars, --nothing about what they are, look like, how they work adn I think tha'ts just unrealistic because I think all the adults would tell them what was going on.

But that kind of fic started me thinking about what they would do for clothes in 10 years, or shoes, or things like that.

Well, if the Magic Island Monster hasn't eaten them all.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Easy! Grass skirts. Or, Amazing Practical Sun will have pounded flax into fabric and they will all be wearing natural-color culottes.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

they will all be wearing natural-color culottes.

Pshaw. Once her out-of-season fast-growing garden is all ready for plucking, combined with the handy seafood skills of her husband, they'll have a fun array of colours at their disposal.

I think I would pay cash money to see Sawyer wiggling himself into couture. Because, let's be honest, the couture smugglers only smuggle one collection at a time, and the odds are it will all be chick clothes made of sparkly pink leather and ostrich plumes.

Because books.

I'm thinking nudity will be become the norm, because by then they'll all be used to each other.

Or maybe I just want to think about Jack, Sayid, and Sawyer naked.
