What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Also, if Jin really doesn't understand English, how the hell did he understand it when Sun said, "I was going to leave you" etc. in English??

Like Nora said, he didn't understand. He stopped because of the change in language and tone. Kind of a, "Whoa, what did she say? It sounded important." And I didn't really think about it, but Sun's pulling the same trick on Jin that everyone pulls on her. She's getting something out she needs to get out even though she knows--in the others' cases, thinks--the other person won't understand anyway.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Jin might have gone to a "oh, shit, Michael will blame me for this, too" place immediately upon seeing the fire, then burned his hands, and realized that would make him look even guiltier.

I'm very interested as to whether Jin saw Walt anywhere near the raft.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Theo, I think he might have. Why else would he help Michael after Michael beat his ass?

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Why else would he help Michael after Michael beat his ass?

Because he wants off the island in the worst way?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The one plot point that still doesn't work for me is that if Jin's being sent on errands to Sydney and LA, he should speak better English. Surely BossDaddy has the money to pay for lessons.

I have a plan.

I didn't mind that at all. If he's going to local Korea-towns to do his errands English should only be a factor with the, likely bi-lingual, customs agents.

Did anybody notice that 'Hurley on T.V.' was waring the same clothes as 'Hurley on island'? Fashion coincidence? Also, I loved the discman montage too. I was just thinking to myself at that exact time "how long do those batteries last?".

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

My brother goes to Singapore on business all the time, and doesn't speak...jeez, what do they speak in Singapore?

Thrive to spite them

BossDaddy probably has all kinds of contacts that work for him and if Jin not speaking English keeps him isolated and then he has to rely on BossDaddy's minions.

English? It was a colony for a long time.
