And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Not that it wasn't a good idea, but having a good idea, and a good idea involving Kate? In front of Jack? Worth Kate's weight in gold.

Absolutely. Doing it in front of Jack not only showed Kate that Sawyer considers her one of the "men," but that he thought of it first, and Jack didn't, and now Jack knows it.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Sayid was a stone hottie this week, with the rain and the weapons.

I just don't get it. Now, Naveen Andrews isn't in my category of "Dude, he's *ugly*; how can you like him?", which includes but is not limited to: Alan Cumming, Steve Buscemi, and Nathan Fillion.

He's just -- eh. Pretty eyes, though.

Jack = nonsexually attractive.

Sawyer = hot dirty mad island of mystery sexsexsex.

Locke = scary charismatic hothothot.

Did it bother anyone else that the guns were essentially useless to the plan? Locke didn't want to trail Ethan with only pointy sticks, and that's reasonable, but once they had him beaten, on the ground, and surrounded, pointy sticks would have worked just fine.

I don't think so. I mean, they had no guarantee that they could get him cornered and on the ground without guns, and once they did, the only thing keeping him there was the fact that they had 4 guns pointed as his head. If they'd had 4 pointy sticks, Ethan would have gotten up and fought his way out. (And he still might have failed, but I do think the guns helped.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

How do you feel about Jin, Steph?

Naveen was reasonably pretty before the whole "I kill, torture, devise, and now I'm wet" thing. That just makes me helpless.

Deena, I think the guns were for control, and defense against the unexpected. Given how he killed Steve/Scott, I think they had every responsibility to be a quantum level more armed -- numbers be damned.

Otherwise they would have just standing there going, "Bang!" That's not going to kill too many people, is it? You'd have to be really dodgy on the heart to have that.

Eh. Also in the not-ugly-not-attractive category.

Hee -- I'm now imagining Charlie firing his five rounds into Ethan's chest and ending up with one of those little "bang!" flags instead.

Hee! So funny.

I think Jin is attractive, or at least does more for me than Jack or Sawyer. Sayid is attractive, but oddly the hand kiss he gave Kate made him less so to me. Of them all, I am most attracted to Locke, though I don't really know why. The crazy eyes, maybe.

Dude, Locke is incredibly charismatic. And, well, HOTT.

You'd have to be really dodgy on the heart to have that.

Hee! So funny.

I stole that from Eddie Izzard.
