Lost: OMGWTF POLAR BEAR

[NAFDA] This is where we talk about the show! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

Guy #1: Man, there are so many hipsters around. I hate hipsters! Guy #2: You're at the wrong place. That's like going to Vegas only to say "I hate titties!" --The Warsaw, Williamsburg (OINY)

I thought Claire looked noticeably LESS pregnant - last time we saw her she was practically about to pop, now she looks more like 8 months to me.

Loved it mostly because it was new Lost, and anticipating Cleo's recap. Does that make me sad?

diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper sounds vile.

Hee, the BF drinks that - makes Robitussin™ taste like ambrosia.

I vote whitefont on previews in Mejiaville (or wherever they go), but I got no beef if they're in black - I try not to watch the previews because I find them too spoilery, but always cave and watch them anyway.

Speaking of previews, if I heard the one for next week's VM correctly, that is the second total (unintentional, unless there's something he'd like to tell me?)-shoutout to me by RT personally - the teacher's name? my first. And Mac? shares my last name.

and I killed the thread..

ETA and since I did, I might as well blather about things I remembered that I would have forgotten otherwise:

Not only has Ethan been reminding me of the evil & ugly not-NF since day 1, but when they showed poor dead Scott (hee!), I thought it was Ethan and was completely confused for some time.

Liked that they didn't feel the need to squeeze in every character for his or her 5 seconds of contractually obligated screentime.

Claire cleaned up real fast, between her 1st scene with Charlie and her second she had a total makeover.

"Don't think of yourself as an organic pain collector racing towards oblivion." Dogbert to Dilbert

OK, I'll try posting the preview here, for now. I will give extra space for those who want to skip

Here is the preview for next week's Lost episode:

Narrator: Next Wednesday...

We open on a shot of Locke all the way to the left of the screen, sitting on the beach and staring out at the ocean. A close up of Locke overlaps this shot and fades in, and the camera swings around Locke to reveal the beach and the fuselage. Locke is looking stern.

Narrator: ...on an island, full of secrets...

The shot quickly fades out and is replaced by a long shot of Sayind and Kate standing on the beach, facing the water, but turning back to look behind and to the left. As the narrator speaks the word secrets, a close up of Shannon standing in front of some wreckage appears. She brings her hand up to shade her eyes as she looks off to the left of the camera's position.

Narrator: ...some can be revealed...

The image fades to black, then fades in on a medium shot of Kate and Sawyer sitting by a fire. It is dark, and they appear to be in the jungle. Sawyer hands Kate a bottle.

Cut to a close up of Sawyer as he talks to Kate.

Sawyer: "I've never been in love."

Reverse to Kate as she closes her eyes and licks her lips, then opens her eyes and looks at Sawyer.

Kate: "I've never had a one-night stand."

Reverse back to Sawyer, as he closes his eyes, turns his head toward Kate, and slowly opens his eyes and smiles.

Cut back to Kate, looking at Sawyer with a slight smile on her face.

Narrator: Some can not

Cut to a daytime scene. This is a long shot, in the jungle. On the far left, we see Jack breaking tree limbs for wood. Sawyer comes up from the right, with both of his hands down to his left side.

Cut to a close up of Jack as he stands and talks to Sawyer.

Jack: "What'd she give you?"

Reverse to Sawyer, who stands and turns his head slightly away and puts a sly smile on his face.

Sawyer "Nothin' that she wasn't willin' to part with."

Reverse back to Jack as he shakes his head and rolls his eyes in a "can you believe this crap?" look.

Switch to a daylight close up of Kate in the woods, staring to her right.

Reverse to see Jack as he turns his head to look at Kate and give her a stern look.

Fade to black.

Narrator: ...and there are some secrets...

Fade in on a close up of Sawyer loading ammo into a pistol.

Kate (OS): "What are you doing?"

The camera pans up to Sawyer's face as he grits his teeth. (BTW, this scene is at Sawyer's tent on the beack during the daytime).

Sawyer: "Gettin' even."

Fade to black, and cut to an extreme close up of (presumably) Sawyer pulling out a pristol from the small of his back.

Narrator: that can get you killed.

Fade to black and cut to a shot of Jack standing in the woods as he turns towards the camera's right.

Fade to black and cut to a shot of an extreme close up of (presumably) Sawyer pointing the gun at the camera's position.

Fade to black and cut to a shot of Kate standing next to a tree in the woods in the left background, and Sawyer in the right extreme foreground. Kate glances at Sawyer as he stares intently to the left of the screen.

Fade to black, and cut to a close up of Sawyer staring VERY intently.

Fade to black and cut to an angle facing Jack, where we can see a black-shirted figure (presumably Sawyer) facing him.

Fade to black, and then cut to a much close shot of Sawyer staring intently.

Fade to black, then cue the Lost logo.

Narrator: An all-new Lost, next Wednesday at 8, 7 Central, only on ABC.

Bad Robot.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I missed Mejia.
