Deena! Did I know you read Fables ? You are awesome.
Well, duh!
[NAFDA] This is where we talk about the show! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

P-C, I don't think I'd mentioned it before. I love Fables. It's awesome. GC also turned me on to Courtney Crumrin who is my hero. I read BoP when I can find them/have the time. Also went through a Fantastic Four stage, though I haven't read any for a while. They're my childhood favorites.
Nora made me giggle.

I think the Fantastic Four were my first comic book characters. I had a little storybook, maybe with a cassette. This would have been in elementary school sometime.
Hey, Deena, let's you and me start calling the monster The Adversary.
Could be worse, could be William.
Or Liam.
Or Willy
Or Wil
Or Bill
Or Billy (Or Mac or Buddy...)
Sean ("God's gracious gift"),
That's right. I really am God's gift. Go me, go me!
Beverly ("meadow of beavers" -- hee!)
That's really what Beverly means? Hee!
I knew a guy who wrote a Jack book along these lines, set in contemporary society, titled Jack Acid.
Jack Acid? An impish sprite who goes around throwing acid in people's faces?

More Ken Kesey, less Phantom of the Opera.
Yes. The Adversary.
I like it.
The name thing, I've concluded is intentional. It might not be that each character was named specifically, but no one's name is more than 2 syllables, there are groups of names with the same letter, most of the names that can be shortened are (with the exception of Michael).
Now, whether this is supposed to be symbolic or the naming is an artifact of writing structure, I don't know.
However, I just found a scenario that will tick me off WRT "Lost." I'm not sure how many have seen the movie Identity with John Cusak. Well, without laying plain a spoiler, if "Lost" ends up anything like that movie I think I will take a hostage.
You all have been warned.
Discussion is ongoing in Bureaucracy as to the thread title.
Still not sure we should have a semi-spoiler for non-NAFDA-ians in the title.
I'm with you on the Identity thing. I detested that movie. I called the "twist" less than halfway through and spent the rest of the movie appalled at how heavy-handed and awful it was.
I really don't want Lost to have a cheat ending like that or the purgatory thing. I'd feel let down.
