Wesley: Feng Shui. Gunn: Right. What's that mean again? Wesley: That people will believe anything. Actually, in this place, Feng Shui will probably have enormous significance. I'll align my furniture the wrong way and suddenly catch fire or turn into a pudding.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Oh, and watching Desperate Housewives makes me think that what Lost is missing

If the show lasts four or five seasons, we could have one...

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Heck, considering Jack is already seeing ghosts, we might not have to wait that long. If one of the exec producers is a big Japanese horror fan, we might have our very own Sadako/Samara this season.

I was fine when existence had no meaning. Meaninglessness in a universe that has no meaning -- that I get. But meaninglessness in a universe with meaning? What does that mean?

Wow, that is cool, le nubian. I'm getting a little bit of a "Hey, the shirts all have numbers!" Buffy S6 vibe from it, though.

A friend and I were discussing the name thing last week (someone posted a similar analysis at TWoP), and we decided it's probably just a coincidence, as most names derive from religion or nature or mean "power" in some way. Both of us (Amy, "beloved" and Tina, "river") would fit right in on the island. So would Gus ("great"), Sean ("God's gracious gift"), Daniel ("God is my judge") and Beverly ("meadow of beavers" -- hee!). That's not to say I'd rule it out, though -- JJ likes for things to have deeper meanings, and the names probably mean something. I do find it interesting that there are so many J and S names. I hadn't noticed that before.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I do find it interesting that there are so many J and S names. I hadn't noticed that before.

Jesus Saves!

No no no, wait!

The monster is Jon Stewart!

Feeling lost (no italics or capital) and stupid. Please enlighten, Gus.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

I wonder if all the Jack/Johns have something to do with the English trickster/traveling hero tradition, where the protagonist is always a Jack. Makes me think of Fables where all Jacks are one Jack.

Pretty much what he said, lib. At the beginning of S6 all the characters were wearing shirts with numbers on them. It was apparently a Random Fashion Statement by the costumers, though it caused a lot of wasted speculation in fandom.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

English trickster/traveling hero tradition, where the protagonist is always a Jack.

I knew a guy who wrote a Jack book along these lines, set in contemporary society, titled Jack Acid.
