I got the Locke TvGuide cover in the mail. I'd considered going to the grocery store and picking up the other five just for the cover pictures, but that seemed to obsessive.

[NAFDA] This is where we talk about the show! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
Kathy: I love your tag.
And it's so appropriate for Michigan
I found the full Stamos quote:
Stamos says, "I've gone out with some waitresses lately and I went out with a nurse. I think that's probably my route; someone who is inspired and is non-jaded and that's what's interesting about regular real girls. I have so much to offer as far as my life. I hate talking up all the great things I have in my life, I'd love to share them with people. I met this girl and we went to Disneyworld and we didn't have to stand in line and she was just so excited! That made me so happy that she wasn't jaded. That's a road that I want to be on."
I think by "jaded" he means "unimpressed with my celebrity."
Huh. In my head, I was thinking about defending the desire to be with someone "non-jaded" but after reading the full context, I think, not.
Yeesh. Because my whole life is wrapped up around not having to stand in line at Disneyland.
And why don't celebrities have to stand in line anyway? And why do they get food paid for them at restaurants, when they can clearly afford it? They should let the midwestern farming family with eight kids cut in line and get free food.

Amusingly, when I was in Philly, I went to Geno's for cheesesteaks twice. The first time, I was with Deb's daughter, and we didn't wait in line -- because she asked the guy at the front of the line if she could go in front of him. One display of her toes later (who'd have thought open toes in February had a payoff?) and we had all the cheesesteaks we wanted -- the guys in our party joined the end of the line, and weren't served for more than half an hour. The second time, I was with a celebrity, and wondered to myself if he'd have a slicker time of it than Jo. We went in the back, got the food for free, plus T-shirts. I was kinda irritated, except! Free good food! Geno's, OTOH, got half a chance a celeb will wear their shirt, talk kindly about them, and he signed their guestbook before he left. Worth more than the $15 bucks they didn't get from his wallet.
Yeah, guess that's true. Free promo.
John Stamos probably gets the perks at Disney because his new show will be on ABC, which is owned by Disney. Disney tends to treat their celebrity guests well at the parks.

It was either this one or the one about looking for a weather prediction from a rat. Or the one about being a god--not THE God (I think).

I remember listening to WGN talk radio one Sunday morning while I was getting ready for work at the bookstore. The show host was complaining because his scheduled guest had bailed at the last minute, as did a backup, so since he had nothing scheduled for the next 20 minutes, he opened the phone lines for potpourri. He got a phone call from Drew Carey, who was listening to the station on the Disneyworld radio network while he was packing after his vacation, and felt so sorry for the host that he decided to call and give the man an interview. After first doubting the caller's identity, the host was very happy to take the call and was willing to go along with the plug that Carey gave Disney during the interview.
