Nutty, they did show Scott & Steve earlier in the season—they're twins, not (hopefully, anyway) a couple.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Really? I totally missed them. Are you sure they weren't, like, random bodies over thattaway, or did we actually get a look at them? Clearly, I blinked at the wrong moment.

"Being hungover is like winning the lottery, except they pay you in regret!" - T-Rex

I think too much emphasis gets placed on the shocking plot twist when talking about how great that episode is. I saw it coming from "Don't tell me what I can't do" in the flashback about halfway through, and even though the reveal at the end didn't surprise me, still my favorie ep so far.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Someone talked to them. Jack? Hurley? Michael? Anyway, he said, "Blah blah, Scott," and the other guy said, "No, I'm Steve."

Michael. He was getting people to help excavate Jack from the cave-in.

I think it was Michael. May be misremembering though, as I also seem to recall it being just after Jin was beating on Michael.

Thrive to spite them

I don't remember what Scott and Steve looked like, were they twins or just two guys whose name Hurley couldn't get right. With the survivors spread out and still kind of going every man for himself at that point I'm not surprised people couldn't keep names straignt. Also when Rose shows back up she refers to Claire as the pregnant girl (or woman?) rather than Claire -- leading me to believe Rose didn't know Claire's first name.

Of course she might have called her Claire and I'm just grabbing at straws.

Absolutely. It was fantastic the first time, but it improved on rewatch.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Yeah, I don't remember Scott and Steve being twins. On the other hand, I was watching off a tape so the quality was off. And really the "you got us mixed up" thing is funnier/sadder if they aren't idenitcal.

I thought they were just a couple of extras, and that the mixup was a shout-out to that effect.
