Mal: Well, you were right about this being a bad idea. Zoe: Thanks for sayin', sir.

Lost: OMGWTF POLAR BEAR

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Does Walt know that he does stuff?

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

What I love about Walt's "specialness" is that the bird, polar bear, etc. are the sorts of things that could be merely coincidental. There's the sort of room for doubt that makes things creepier than if we actually saw Walt summon an army of penguins out of thin air.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Danielle was aware of the bears on the island, so maybe it's not so much a case of creating out of thin air as of summoning something if it's near at hand?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

That was a Fury ep? Well done, Mr. Fury.

These are the kinds of episodes I love, where the flashbacks make the character interactions we've witnessed over the course of the season make so much more sense. Michael is definitely one of my favorite characters. He's torn between having given up on getting Walt back and now having him forced upon him, and having wanted to be his dad so strongly before and now getting the chance to do it. It's great and complex.

And yeah, Walt. Why hasn't he wished them all off the island? He must not want it enough. With the rain, the dice, and the bird, he really wanted it. Not sure how he summoned the polar bears, though. He didn't really ask for them.

Charlie and the diary was indeed good stuff.

Boone is totally Locke's bitch, yes. Man.

And Claire at the end was not an HSQ for me since I saw Emilie de Ravin's name in the credits and was waiting for her the whole time. And while that doesn't always ruin the surprise, it did here because of the amount of times someone said the word "Claire" and reminded me.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Unless the monks Walt summoned have altered the very fabric of reality and inserted the "past" with polar bears.

Thrive to spite them

Liked this episode better, dislike Locke even more, but tonight it was in a good way.

Boone kept reminding me of someone everytime I saw him with Locke and I finally figured it out --- Boone and Locke remind me of Wormtongue and Saramun, but that's probably because I was watching RoTK EE the other night.

I really like Charlie and I liked Charlie during most of this episode except when he was conflicted about reading Claire's diary and kept messing with it. The scene just felt kind of...fake.

Walt's mother is a bitch. Total bitch. And I'm wondering if somehow Walt caused her death..

I was spoiled for Walt's "special-ness" so when Locke kept talking about Walt living up to his potential I wondered if Locke was trying to harness Walt's power, or at least keep him close.

There wasn't enough Sawyer or Sayid (or Sayid n Shannon) in this episode.

No new episodes to February?? That really really sucks.

yes, two weeks of reruns seems odd right now. Wonder if they are doing it to end the season with a bang?

Boone/Locke?

Sayid/Shannon?

Sawyer/Kate?

Oh, you didn't mean sex?

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

It's really no different than the way Buffy or Angel were scheduled. If anything, we usually got only one episode of those in January. The networks love to hold the new episodes for sweeps months. We'll get reruns in March and April, too.

There's only 8 or 10 episodes left this season.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Susan is the bitchiest bitch that ever bitched.

She's a bigger bitch than SHANNON.

Bryan is also kind of a bitch.

Michael's "Bryan said you could have [Vincent]" was fucking awesome.

I can picture Bryan at home, watching the news. "The plane's disappeared? MY FUCKING DOG!! Oh yeah, and that kid."
