Fred: So you don't worry that it's possible for someone to send out a biological or electronic trigger that effectively overrides your own sense of ideals and values and replaces them with an alternative coercive agenda that reduces you to a mindless meat puppet? Shopkeeper: Wow. People used to think that I was paranoid.

"Being hungover is like winning the lottery, except they pay you in regret!" - T-Rex

Also -- I'm so glad that the Abramsverse is contingous, thus, my scenario in which the final episode of Lost has the team from Alias swooping in to save them all. I think this should involve black helicoptors AND a unit of divers. Possibly a submarine.

Just gotta handwave past the uncanny resemblance between Locke and Kendall, and the plane's pilot and Weiss, but yeah. Probably just there to get the Rambaldi device powering the invisimechosaurs, though.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

"Do you know how hard it is to stand around and have everybody say 'Do this, Do this,' when I know, Ian knows, that's what you do."

I think Ian is complaining that Boone, the character, isn't as skilled as Ian, the actor.

So, yeah, what Edain said.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Oooh, got it. Thanks, Jon.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Somerhalder certainly seemed unable to discern the line between acting and sincerely performing his character's actions in The Rules of Attraction. Given that, perhaps in future taking roles that don't involve gay or incestuous relationships (or both!) might be a smart plan.

Not having has never been the thing I've regretted most in my life. Not trying is.

Oh, just wanted to note that I laughed out loud at the step-seduction, and said "HODGEBERRIES! IT'S THE HODGEBERRY SCENE!"

Snerk.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Everything I've read from the guy's own mouth strikes me as... not unintelligent, exactly, but having the same vibe as a 13 year-old with an advanced vocabulary and absolutely no understanding of other people or how the world works. Dude better thank his lucky stars he's pretty.

This, exactly. He's dumb and pretty.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

This, exactly. He's dumb and pretty.

He sounds almost borderline sociopathic, but that's not all that rare in young Hollywood actors from what I've read. Usually they keep it out of their interviews, though.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Boone's relief at Shannon's death read perfectly valid reaction to getting out from under someone's thumb you're not strong enough to free yourself from.

I think being weak enough to sleep with Shannon when you think it's wrong is one thing. Weak enough for that to deepen your thrall? Man, Locke will own him forever. Locke will probably be able to delegate Boone-mastership to Walt, for christ's sake.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Locke will probably be able to delegate Boone-mastership to Walt, for christ's sake.

Heh.

Or Vincent. Or possibly a volleyball.
