Where'd they get CAT scan from?... I mean, did they test it on cats? Or does the machine sort of look like a cat?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Did she love him, or kill him, or both? Damn.

I'm betting on both.

OK, the way she took down all three bank robbers River Tam-style says top drawer military training to me.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

And the title song of the biopic of the same name starring Kevin Spacey. N'est pas?

Anyone thinking crocodile tears, here? Just too hard to believe her at this point. She sure didn't have a problem shooting her partners.

I think they were real. That thing has to have REAL sentimental value to her to be worth staging a bank robbery to get back. Like, not sane levels of sentimental value.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Like, not sane levels of sentimental value.

As in a trophy-collecting serial killer? Huh, huh? Please?

All is well that ends in pizza.

Bobby Darin's "Beyond the Sea" lyrics:

Somewhere beyond the sea
somewhere waiting for me
my lover stands on golden sands
and watches the ships that go sailin
Somewhere beyond the sea
she's there watching for me
If I could fly like birds on high
then straight to her arms
I'd go sailing
It's far beyond the stars
it's near beyond the moon
I know beyond a doubt
my heart will lead me there soon
We'll meet beyond the shore
we'll kiss just as before
Happy we'll be beyond the sea
and never again I'll go sailing
I know beyond a doubt
my heart will lead me there soon
We'll meet (I know we'll meet) beyond the shore
We'll kiss just as before
Happy we'll be beyond the sea
and never again I'll go sailing
no more sailing
so long sailing
bye bye sailing..

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

I was having River Tam flashbacks there, too.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

And damn, the actress playing Shannon has a nice singing voice. In French, at least.

Is Minear now involved with the show? They're making me like Shannon, and the preview for next ep looks like I may pay for that.

Actually, I was thinking more along the lines of "The mission went sour and I couldn't get everyone evaced in time and had to leave my Baby to die and that's what he gave to me when he proposed and it's all I have left to remember him by and oh God make the guilt stop and GIVE ME THE KEY TO THAT STRONGBOX OR I'LL TURN YOUR HEAD TO SWISS CHEESE, MOTHERFUCKER!!!"

Art Crawl!!!

Perhaps something happened to the lover from St-Tropez and Boone is actually his brother?

(I love Alias -- 21 minutes of teaser. . . but I miss the old graphic on the opening credits. Also -- that agent? That was the annoying guy from Felicity !!)

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Like Shannon said, cleverly avoiding the Disney lawyers, it's the song at the end of "Finding Nemo."

I was just flashing back, when she started on about how kids watch stuff over and over again, like 900 times, like kids do, about how my nephew is like that with "Finding Nemo." I giggled when that's what it turned out to be.

So, uh, why did Kate give the case to Sawyer? To downplay its value? She should have played it cooler after that if that's the case. Kate is, er, reality-challenged, and no one should believe a word that comes out of her mouth. Funny that Sawyer and Jack have figured that out.

Glad to see Rose. Creeped out by Boone. I wondered if Shannon was outing Boone to us when she asked if Locke was his boyfriend now, or if she was just being all twelve year old hurtful. Wonder if we'll see some of their Children in the Attic flashbacks next week. (that's my speculative flippancy, haven't seen anything spoiler-y)

Creeped out also by the airplane. Also am very worried about Claire.

Sayid was so adorable when he propped his face on his hand and looked at Shannon. I was so busy swooning I didn't notice that while he was looking adorable, he was also looking adorably! But... that doesn't seem very Sayid.

That's all I got. A series of WTFs. WTF, Boone? WTF, Kate? WTF, rising tide? It's all good though.

I don't mean to sound as grumpy as I do when I post after the show, honest! I grump because I love.

Oh, re: "Beyond the Sea:" I felt very sad for Rousseau when I read the lyrics upthread.
