Zoe: I thought you wanted to spend more time off-ship this visit. Wash: Out there is seems like it's all fancy parties. I like our party better. The dress code is easier and I know all the steps.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Wolfram, I think Betsy mentioned that in the Natter thread. What if Jack isn't the kind to correct him? Not trying to be contrary because I think it is possible that he either didn't finish his residency or lost his license, or that the writers are trying to throw us off.

I need to watch the first ep again and see how Jack identified himself.

Heh, I've been on the Natter diet for a while. I'm not convinced that Jack's not a doctor, but I'm certainly intrigued.

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

Wolfram.

We lurves our Wolfram, don't we?

whitefont: Jack is so not a doctor, the medicine is dripping out of his stolen stethescope.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Heh, I've been on the Natter diet for a while

After skimming yesterday's Natter, I'd tend to believe you're on the right diet.

Ficht nicht mit Der Raketemensch!

Apparently, it's British (and probably Australian, then) to refer to doctors as Mr.

only and specifically hospital consultants in a hospital. if you meet someone with an MD otherwise you'd call them Dr X. If their surname was X. Nation of Islam doctors.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Hey, is our rule for the topic here that Things Said In Interviews Etc. By Lost TPTB are fair game for non-spoilerhood? That's the impression I'm getting, but I want to confirm.

Jack just seems so, I don't know, honest. And he had a surgery story and everything.

After skimming yesterday's Natter, I'd tend to believe you're on the right diet.

Haven't even done that yet. Now you've piqued me.

I thought the default was aired stuff and promos are fair game. Everything else is a spoiler.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I think Jack has had medical training, and probably has an MD, but I think maybe something happened after that point that made him quit/and/or got his medical license taken away.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

okay, I'll bite. Why does the notion that they may be in purgatory or something make you react so negatively?

It's a narrative cheat. Like a reset of a show -- the season of Dallas that never happened as soon as Bobby stepped out of the shower.

It's a cheat because it doesn't force the writers to deal with the complexities.
