I did do karaoke at a colorful sort of a bar in Chinatown (it actually reminded my friend and I of the sketchy bar in my neighborhood where we would sometimes karaok). No polar bears but we did hang out with a couple of which the man was a Micronesian and the lady a transplant from Scotland who was celebrating her birthday and had been for weeks. I couldn't understand a word either said but they loved us and we loved them and many drinks were shared between us.

Also, I sang a little Neal Diamond (Sweet Caroline) with the help of a lady local whose group had been shooting us death glares all night. IT was beautiful.

So I'm twenty-nine minutes into the second episode of Lost and I finally understand what everyone meant when they said "WFT Polar Bear?" because, oh my god, whatthefuck, polar bear? On an island in the Pacific? No, don't tell me, I'll blow through all these episodes before I leave, but seriously. Whatthefuck.
