Welcome to the club!

thanks...i am enjoying the company. it is nice to be loving a show that is a bit more mainstream... not that i care, but at least the straights dont shake their head in worried dismay when i discuss the show. *haha*

Most of the people I talk with understand that I have a few subjects that I could talk about incessantly...Buffy, Angel, LOTR, and Lost . New friends shake their heads at me, but they quickly learn. I've already converted my mom and dad into Angel fans.

I'm taking some of my Lost tapes to my parent's house for Christmas so I can show them to my sister. I will be converting her in one week. Or, at least make her care more about Wednesday nights. If she's busy, I'll teach her how to set the VCR. In any case, depending on perspective, I'm a good/bad influence on my family!

everyone that i have gotten to watch the show has LOVED it. i have even sent tapes to a few friends and they want more. i love how easily you can suck them into the obsessive fan love get them interested/invested in the show and characters.

good luck with the VCR training. it is a good thing to know for those events that you HAVE to attend instead of staying in to watch LOST. *g*

edited b/c i forgot the basic HTML that makes things better.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

halfrek - to quote someone, use the "greater than" key. If you type,

I've already converted my mom and dad into Angel fans.

it displays as

I've already converted my mom and dad into Angel fans.

The t small tag doesn't work here.

Also, that long line of hyphens may cause some browsers to scroll right.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Huh. Actually the small tag is making those quotes display smaller on my monitor, though the distinction isn't as clear as using the greater than carat (or indented like same).

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Small works here fine.

Interesting. I'm using IE 6 on XP Pro. I have the text size set to "smaller" under view. You'd think that any t small text would appear smaller still, but it doesn't. If I change text size to normal, then t small does indeed appear smaller than normal text.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I'll teach her how to set the VCR.

Sigh, I'd estimate I've instructed my mom and my aunt how to set the vcr a dozen times over the last dozen years.

As opposed to teaching them, which apparently I haven't done successfully.

They are both bright people, so I have to assume it's just not being reinforced, or else it's just not their "thing." Heck, they can set the clocks, so...no blinking 12:00.
