I battle evil. But I don't really win. The bad keeps coming back and getting stronger. Like that kid in the story, the boy that stuck his finger in the duck.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

And sunburn

I was actually wondering about this last night. Very few of the strandees are dark skinned and have little natural protection against the sun. You'd think after a week hanging out on a beach everyone would be red.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

They do keep mentioning sunscreen, at least.

Hopefully people realized in that first week that they'd better use what sunscreen they had to safely build up a base tan before nasty burns could result.

At least a few of the characters are looking more tanned than when they started out - location shooting in Hawaii is no doubt helpful with that.

At least they'll have aloe for any burns.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

And why is it that Claire can find a hairbrush but Kate cannot?

Kate and Claire had that cute conversation in which Claire lamented lack of a hairbrush among all the luggage. Perhaps she found one.

Kate's hair is always so beautifully tousled. I covet it.

gingivitis

Sun knows how to get plants that can serve like toothpaste! I suspect that has been specifically mentioned so that the viewers wouldn't go, "Ewww! Wouldn't their breath be reeking by now without any surplus dental hygiene product?" whenever two characters get it on.

This just made me think that Hurley, Walt and the baby all have meta reasons for being high on the fodder list.

Eeeek! No killing Hurley or Walt!

I don't know what to think now in terms of the Death Poll. Obviously, Claire tops the list, but I now think killing her off would be a bit too obvious for the convoluted brains of Abrams & Lindelof.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Is this the only show that needs a dedicated stubble and grime continuity person? Although the previews did show that there is at least one straight razor on the island.

I'm also sure of the fact that many of the recovered bags would have toiletries kits, including disposable razors and clipping kits, and deodorant.

ETA: And toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss....

And they've been there, what, three weeks now? Deodorant running out for those who have it, if Sawyer doesn't.

Edited to move my ETA to the proper position.

Perhaps I'm doing the dental care thing wrong, but I would NOT be running out of toothpaste or have an unusable toothbrush in the two (or three) weeks since the plane crash. Anti-perspirant maybe, as the kind I use would probably have melted away in that heat by now.

BP meds would be another matter, although since my doctor said sufficient weight loss would remove the need for them that problem might take care of itself in short order.

If I only had a brain...

Isn't it handy that there were no diabetics on the plane?

All is well that ends in pizza.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I meant with my ETA to put it one paragraph above that, where I said they could have a lot of these things, not down where they could be running out.

My bad. Fixed.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I don't know what to think now in terms of the Death Poll.

I'm a little worried about Sawyer, to be honest.
