What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

maybe the psychic went to the Wesley school of prophecy and how to interpret them.

THE MOTHER WILL RAISE THE SON.

if everyone's names were supposedly on that roster does that mean that Sawyer told Hurley his real name? and if not, i'd say that brings up an interesting quandary.

I thought about that too, but it's possible Sawyer's actually been using the name Sawyer for a while now.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Well, he's been going by Sawyer for a long time. Possible he's got it changed legally? Or just that he's got travel documents under it?

Because books.

Possible he's got it changed legally? Or just that he's got travel documents under it?

If he's been running cons for that long, chances are he's got fake IDS, maybe more than one set.

we must either take him seriously and at his word, or not

I feel like we're supposed to take him at his word, because he didn't play the run-of-the-mill "only happy news" psychic. Also the point of view wasn't only Claire's in those scenes -- the camera very pointedly focused on him during the readings, not just on Claire's reaction to him.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

A psychic just looking to read for money probably won't spend much time calling in the middle of the night, either.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Ooh! Ooh! Maybe Hurley thinks that Sawyer's the odd man out! I mean, Ethan could have gotten the name of one of the dead passengers pretty easily, from papers in a pocket or a wallet or whatever, and then if Sawyer used his real name on the flight roster, but didn't tell it to Hurley, and then they'll all be even more suspicious of him... okay, so he probably used a fake ID (somehow, I can't see him going so far as to legally change his name to Sawyer), but I like my pet theory very much.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

But Hurley would have to think that, if Sawyer's name wasn't on that flight roster, there's no way he would have handed it over so easily.

Aw crap, there goes my theory.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

(Please, can't someone help me with a tape? I'm spoiled enough to know exactly what I missed, and it's driving me maaaad.)

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Alas, Jessica- I have no tape. I gave the VCR to my parents.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Is there any chance they're going to rebroadcast this, or next, Saturday? I haven't been taping, but I'm starting to think I might.
