To play devil's advocate, I can think of one reason not to like Hurley (though generally I do)-- he tattles on people a lot. Kate has a gun; the Chinese people have water, etc.

How about "He doesn't keep ridiculous secrets when it's important to let the leaders know."
He seems to be eager to tell on people, frequently, though, which is why I used that term. That is one of the reasons I think he could go to the evil side if there really is a Stand like division.
